Columbine

David Cullen's book, Columbine, takes readers through the long-forgotten details of one of the most terrifying shootings in the United States – shooters walking randomly through a high school looking for people to kill.

Remembering the details is difficult, but it's worse if what we think we know and rely on is also marred by years of stories told wrong and assumptions made. Cullen's book provides readers with a refreshed review of the shooting details, including the shooters' attempts to set off bombs in the school and the law enforcement's initial response to injured people on the ground in the back of the school.

Cullen also gives readers a more detailed look at what we learned about the shooters themselves, cutting through the hype and speculation that has clouded the history of why these two seniors chose to kill 12 fellow students and one teacher.
